Chevron commissioned IDU to create the logo and marketing materials for their new environmentally responsible marine lubricant product line.
IDU has been designing creative pieces for Chevron continuously since the 1990s, beginning with the brand identity for Fuel and Marine Marketing, a joint venture between Cheveron and Texaco. With this track record, IDU was a natural choice to design the identity for Chevron’s new environmentally responsible product line. This process involved detailed analysis and reports on options for the wordmark and how it would fit into the Chevron branding system, as well as multiple iterations of the logo, and preparation of final art in various color combinations and digital formats. With the identity in place, IDU went on to create many marketing pieces, including presentation folders, brochures, sellsheets, technical bulletins, trade show booths, posters, email blasts, magazine ads and animated Web banners.
