It is a truism that a craftsman needs the right tool for the right job. It doesn’t matter how skilled a woodsman you are ... if you ain’t got no axe, you cain’t cut no wood. Of course, high-powered graphic design equipment costs a whole lot more than an axe, but there’s no getting around its ‘must-have’ status.
At IDU Creative Services, we use the finest hardware and software for graphic design. Our main workstations are Apple Macintosh computers with new Westmere Hexacore and i7 multi-processors running the latest release of OSX and equipped with 27" or 30" color-corrected Apple Cinema Displays. Our heavy-duty graphic work is designed mainly in the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite. Though we are primarily a Macintosh shop, we also keep machines running Windows 7, Vista and XP for cross-platform work.
We run redundant on-site backup systems to both optical drives and 12 Terabytes of scalable hard disk space, and have a separate off-site backup process, so your data is always safe. We have a backup generator and UPC/power conditioner, so your jobs keep moving forward even during blackouts.
The powerful hardware and backup infrastructure keeps us operating, but it’s the software that frees our creativity. We keep a suite of industry-standard graphic design applications fully loaded on our workstations, including:
